CT diagnostics
CPCT refers to X-ray examination and is a procedure for scanning a patient with low doses of X-ray irradiation in different planes. Once the computer receives the scanned object, they are analyzed by the software, resulting in a complete three-dimensional image.
A cone-ray CT scan is a completely painless procedure that does not cause any psychological or physical discomfort. Duration of diagnostics is no more than a minute. In our clinic, we perform cone-ray computer tomography on the best equipment in this class, namely the US-made Gendex by i-CAT tomograph.
The advantages of Gendex by i-CAT are:
- The situation of the patient during the diagnosis. During the study, the patient is in a sitting position, which greatly increases the quality of the image, since the maximum real estate is provided. Also, diagnosis of CPK in sitting position is practically the only method of obtaining a high-quality image in young children.
- During the diagnosis, the X-ray tube produces a full 360 ° turnover, which allows you to obtain a complete data set without distortion to avoid errors in diagnostics.
- Due to a wide range of tonometer settings, the patient achieves the maximum radiation exposure.
- The large size of the sensor allows you to see the lower jaw, upper jaw, additional nasal sinuses and the temporomandibular jaw joint in one study.
- Gendex by i-CAT has the highest level of security. The patient receives an exposure dose of ?40 ?SV, which is 2-7 times less than in a similar study on other tomographs.
